Stage Manager – Koger Center for the Arts Inside Higher Ed (University of South Carolina, Columbia) Full‑time, 37.5 hours/week; regular business hours 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., plus nights and weekends as needed. Job Summary Responsible for the successful production of all events held at the Koger Center. Ensures all staging requirements are met, supervises a part‑time production crew, and maintains the staging area and equipment. Key Responsibilities Recruit, train, and supervise a part‑time production crew of 100–150; schedule crew as per show requirements. Manage stage equipment, storage areas, and troubleshoot technical issues; stay up to date with theatrical industry developments. Work with the Technical Director to fulfill technical and personnel needs; provide accurate cost estimates and labor/equipment charges. Develop lighting cues; execute standard theatrical elements and liaise between production crew and Front of House. Purchase supplies and equipment following procurement rules; track expenses and keep within budget. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field and ≥2 years of job‑related experience (or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and experience). Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree with ≥5 years of experience in an entertainment venue setting (staging, lighting, sound). Knowledge of industry‑standard staging techniques, lighting design, and sound production. Ability to multi‑task and work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
