Administrative Assistant

Continental, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, is a leader in fire protection and one of the top 20 fire sprinkler contractors in the nation. We are hiring an Administrative Assistant to support our operations team, based in our office in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a fast-paced office where you will be interacting with different levels of staff as well as directly with our customers. You will be expected to perform functions in MS Office Suite, internal SharePoint sites and other company software, so heavy computer skills are required. In addition, you will be responding to customer inquiries about scheduling, repairs, installation and services.

Continental Fire Sprinkler Company is one of the Midwest's largest and most-respected fire protection contractors. With its headquarters in Omaha, NE, Continental also operates branch offices throughout the region. Continental offers complete construction services for all markets and project sizes as well as testing and maintenance services.

This position is based full time in our corporate Continental office in the Millard suburb of Omaha, NE at 4518 S133rd Street, Omaha. We do not offer relocation for this position and are looking for local candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Operations team and services team with administrative and customer support.
  • Develop documents in Word, presentations in PowerPoint and reports/charts in Excel.
  • Utilize web-based programs to manage and maintain customer data and records.
  • Support customers with inbound and outbound customer service calls, and handle scheduling for services/repairs.
  • Perform other office/administrative functions as necessary.
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast paced office, with multiple responsibilities, and able to pivot as necessary to new tasks.
Qualifications
  • High school degree one or more years' related operations administrative support experience is required. Experience working with Engineering / Design and construction operations teams and customers, highly desirable.
  • Experience developing presentations in PowerPoint, documents in Word and developing reports/charts in Excel using advanced functions like Pivot tables, Vlookup, and formulas.
  • Experience using SharePoint desired; otherwise technologically savvy with the ability to pick up new software quickly.
  • Experience dealing with customer calls to resolve issues with a sense of urgency and positive attitude.
  • Experience performing outbound calls with customers to set up schedules, resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated record of success working in a highly diverse team-oriented office environment.
