The Role And What Youll Do

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Deputy Venue Technology Manager for each World Cup venue location, with extensive experience managing technology for largescale events. The Onsite Technology Management Team will be crucial in successfully executing the Official Hospitality Program for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This role will manage vendors and coordinate all activities of the Onsite Technology Functional Area, including designing, configuring, and implementing hardware and software systems, as well as deploying and collecting computer hardware and software operating systems. This position reports to the Sr. Venue Technology Manager.

Please note that candidates must live locally to one of the FIFA World Cup 2026 venues, as one Deputy Venue Technology Manager will be hired per location.

  • Work with and support their Sr. Venue Technology Manager in the overall planning, design, delivery, implementation, testing, operation, decommissioning, and reinstatement of all technology services and solutions required at their assigned competition or noncompetition venue(s).
  • Contribute to the detailed venue project planning process for your venue(s), ensuring that the technical and operational spaces, power, network, and equipment required by Technology are incorporated into the planning and executing the technology needs of our Hospitality Venue Management teams and other FAs.
  • Implement the overall strategy for venue operations technology (access control, production, audio/visual, and network infrastructure) to deliver a fantastic experience for our guests.
  • Create effective working relationships with incumbent venue teams and functional areas, general managers, technology managers, and other key venue stakeholders at the organizing committee and On Location.
  • Collaborate with technology partners & suppliers, other functional areas, and incumbent venue teams to maintain a detailed installation schedule for their assigned venue(s), identifying priorities and ensuring all stakeholders understand them.
  • Participate in shifts at the Hospitality Technology Center (HTC) during Loadin, Loadout, and Games time.
  • Monitor and complete helpdesk tickets and other IT Support requests using the Onsite TEC ITSM.
  • Support all the technology needs of your Venue Cluster before, during, and after Games time.
  • Participate in the delivery and retrieval of technology hardware for all competition and operational venues.
  • Develop effective working relationships with incumbent venue teams and functional areas, general managers, technology managers, and other key venue stakeholders, including FIFA, 3rdparty vendors, and On Location.
  • Be the principal owner of all the technology needs for your Venue before, during, and after match days.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the technology status at your venues for the duration of the project.
  • Provide support to other functional areas within your cluster.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

You Have These

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field experience.
  • Technology management experience in onsite/field technology support and project management, preferably in the ticket and hospitality industry with major sporting events.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technology concepts to technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Endtoend understanding of how an integrated set of technologies delivers a smooth and efficient venue experience for guests and staff.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, missioncritical technology programs and managing operations through 3rd party vendors and large organizations.
  • Sound understanding of IT and/or telecommunications, including WiFi, network cabling, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in delivering production IT services within a high availability environment for successful delivery of SLA/OLAs.
  • Experience in managing thirdparty suppliers in a multivendor environment.
  • Proficient in desktop and mobile OS systems such as Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS, and Linux, including MS Office365.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment within a highprofile international project.
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English is required; proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience working in a technology role in previous medium to largescale events such as World Cups and/or Commonwealth, Euros, and Olympic Games.

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on jobrelated qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.
