Job Overview Join the Alzheimer's Association of Northern California & Northern Nevada as a Chinese Speaking-Community Outreach Representative (Cantonese or Mandarin). We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. The Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change. Diversity and inclusion are vital to our mission. We lead strategic initiatives to support diversity and a culture of inclusivity, strengthening outreach to all populations and providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis. Responsibilities You can make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. This role involves reaching out to represent the Alzheimer's Association in the Chinese speaking community, raising awareness of our programs, providing basic disease information, and linking consumers to our services. Target rural and urban counties, business and civic organizations, faith communities, civic organizations, fraternities/sororities, community organizations, and clubs. Requirements Bilingual in Cantonese or Mandarin. Self-motivated. Excellent verbal and written communications skills via email, phone, and workshop/webinar, with comfort using webinars and social media. The Alzheimer's Association will provide training and information to assist in your efforts.
