Warehouse Supervisor

Typical Hours : 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday (must have the flexibility to work the occasional Saturday)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

• Lead and guide warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance.
• Foster a positive work environment promoting teamwork and high morale.
• Conduct quarterly conversations and provide constructive feedback.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
• Implement and enforce SOPs for accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Maintain quality control processes for incoming and outgoing goods.
• Address discrepancies related to product quality or order fulfillment.
• Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs promptly.
• Collaborate with customer service for accurate communication of order status and inventory levels.
• Meet/exceed warehouse KPIs and team goals.
• Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment, handle and document work-related accidents.
• Maintain good housekeeping throughout the facility.
• Enforce a safety culture, including operational and food safety compliance.

  Skills & Qualifications:  

• Forklift certified.
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operational procedures
• Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, employee motivation, task delegation, and conflict management.
• Effective written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Strong project management skills, including decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, handle interruptions.
• In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices.
• Prior experience using warehouse management software (WMS) and other computer applications.
• Working knowledge of Human Resources processes, including personnel evaluations and coaching.

Job Requirements:  

• All candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management/supervision in a 3PL environment.
• Some experience on sit down forklift preferred.
• Ability to repetitively lift, push and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach.
• Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.

Background Verification : 

Alta Warehousing & Logistics requires all applicants to undergo a background verification process prior to commencing employment with the company. Employment with Alta is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a pre-employment background check which includes drug screening.

Compensation details: 65000-75000 Yearly Salary
