Salary: $112,450 - 203,275 per year Requirements:

• I require a BS Degree, or additional years of experience may substitute in place of a degree.
• I need a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience as a Linux System Administrator.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is essential.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is necessary.
• I expect demonstrated knowledge and experience with Red Hat patching using Satellite Server, NFS, user administration, LDAP client, disk administration (LVM/XFS/ext3/ext4), and related technologies.
• Proven experience troubleshooting systems to identify root causes of issues in environments with multiple applications running is required.
• Applied knowledge of VMware and Tomcat is important.
• Experience integrating custom and off-the-shelf software with Red Hat systems is crucial.
• I expect proficiency with GIT for version control.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are needed.
• You must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• I need you to administer the Red Hat Satellite Server, including managing patches and system updates.
• Collaborating with my cyber security engineering team to design, create, and deploy Ansible solutions for distributed data center environments will be a key responsibility.
• You will be responsible for delivering baseline configurations of the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
• Evaluating current server configurations and scaling infrastructure as necessary will be part of your duties.
• You’ll configure Ansible to work with Satellite Server and VMware vCenter.
• Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts and groups as needed will be expected.
• I’ll need you to develop and configure baseline playbooks, projects, and templates in the Ansible Automation Platform.
• Testing all created Ansible Automation Platform playbooks, projects, and templates in all environments to ensure they function correctly will be essential.
• You will deploy environments using the Ansible Automation Platform.
• Utilizing GIT for version control and collaboration will be part of your responsibilities.
• I expect you to update system and process documentation, user guides, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
• Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Linux systems, including performance, health, and configuration, will be required.
• Ensuring the best practices and standards are implemented and adhered to for all software systems is critical.
• You’ll maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.

We are in search of a seasoned Sr Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) System Administrator to enhance our IT team. The ideal applicant will possess a solid foundation in administering Red Hat Satellite Server, executing and overseeing Ansible Automation Platform solutions, and partnering with cyber security engineering teams. This position necessitates hands-on experience with distributed data center infrastructure, system troubleshooting, and upholding best practices for system security and performance.

Please note that this role requires you to be onsite 5 days a week in Woodlawn, MD.
