The Senior Financial Analyst position is in Tustin, CA. Our firm is part of a biotechnology company turning greenhouse gas into high-performance materials by being integrated into foodware, fashion, and daily activities for all!
requires close collaboration with leaders within the organization to support financial planning, modeling, forecasting, and analysis. This role is crucial for developing new reporting capabilities and implementing future systems. The analyst needs to build complex financial models and convert raw data into meaningful analyses and presentations for senior executives. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for providing reliable information and support.
Key responsibilities include developing departmental expense reports, preparing monthly and quarterly financial packages for executive management, managing reporting packages, and continuously improving financial metrics. The analyst will also support the month-end close process, work with accounting teams, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), assist in financial modeling efforts, take on special projects, and drive process improvements. Creating interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI for real-time insights is also a key duty.
Qualifications for this role include a bachelor's degree (MBA and/or CPA preferred), 4-6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FPA), and familiarity with the manufacturing or technology industries. Expertise in Power BI and strong Excel skills are necessary, along with the ability to make effective decisions and solve problems. Candidates should be dependable, results-oriented, and capable of high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, exempt position that may require overtime and involves minimal travel. The salary range is between $120,000 and $130,000 annually, plus annual bonus of 10-20% + equity! The company is committed to diversity and equal opportunity in employment.
