As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol - Part Time in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for residents and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the community using a company vehicle, adhering to all driving policies and requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and along its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations as directed by Allied Universal policies and site instructions.
  • Assist residents and visitors with inquiries or directions while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
