Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Occupational Therapist in the Sycamore, IL area.

We're currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapist ($50+/hour) to support students of all ages  in DeKalb County with districts in the Sycamore area.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
• Current Illinois OT license 

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:

• This team is about 25 strong and made up of OT/COTA, PT/PTA so lots of options for camaraderie 
• In this scenario, therapy is your primary responsibility. Helping with bus, lunch and recess is not necessary 
• This position is for next school year and beyond, should start around the week of August 11th 
• Caseload is in line with school-based needs, mostly elementary, but some options for middle or high school and/or preK; you'll have the option to voice your preferences

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
