Quality Technician | Wyoming, MI

Salary Range: $40,000 - $63,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Conduct various quality tests, including dimensional, functional, and visual inspections, using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Document inspection and test results accurately, maintaining comprehensive quality records and reports.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as required.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality defects and implement effective preventative measures.
• Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IM&TE).
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting engineering blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality data collection methods.
• Ability to identify non-conforming product, document findings, and support root cause analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
• Experience with CMM programming or advanced metrology equipment
• Internal Auditor certification (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
