1. Work from drawings, sketches or verbal instructions from manager.
\n
2. Install, maintain, repair and rebuild shop machinery and plant equipment including pumps, motors, furnaces, blowers, conveyors, etc. to include furnace rebricking.
\n
3. Maintain and repair plant buildings and facilities
\n
4. Maintain, repair, and diagnose malfunctions on all mobile equipment such as hand trucks and forklift trucks.
\n
5. Perform preventive maintenance on all machines and equipment as directed.
\n
6. Perform metal burning as required in assigned duties.
\n
7. Install and repair environmental-control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout.
\n
8. Cut, assemble and install piping for all plant applications.
\n
9. Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
\n
10. Set up and operate equipment such as power saws and drill presses to make, repair and/or modify parts.
\n
11. Use computer systems as required. Prepare reports, requests, etc. as needed.
\n
12. Maintain equipment and leave work area in a clean and orderly condition.
\n
13. Adhere to accountability, criticality, safety, security and hygiene procedures.
\n
14. Perform traceability function as required.
\n

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
\n
2. Minimum of 5 years maintenance related experience or 2 years as a Maintenance Mechanic C.
\n
3. Must successfully complete required interview process to demonstrate basic mechanic skills.
\n
