Job Description

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily inventory operations within the distribution center to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This role leads a team of inventory associates, coordinates cycle counts, investigates discrepancies, and works cross-functionally with other departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and support on-time order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise inventory control processes, including receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, and returns
• Lead, train, and schedule inventory team members to meet daily and weekly goals
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Maintain inventory records in WMS/ERP systems and generate reports as needed
• Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and shipping teams to ensure smooth material flow
• Monitor stock levels and recommend reorders or adjustments as needed
• Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized inventory area
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus
• 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or distribution center roles
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations
• Proficiency with WMS or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively across departments
