Job Title: Industrial Cleaner - 1st Shift Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks using hand tools and equipment such as shovels, scrapers, power washing equipment, and hoses.
• Clean ash from products and shovel into buckets.
• Clean oil spills and other materials around machinery.
• Conduct overall cleaning of entire machines during shutdowns.
• Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Climb ladders attached to machinery or stairs as needed.
• Wear required PPE including double hearing protection, fire-resistant coveralls, eye protection, and hard hats in designated areas.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Willingness to work varied hours, including early starts and late finishes.
• Experience with power washing or hydro blasting equipment.
• Understanding of industrial cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of confined space or respirator use.

Work Environment

You will work as a third-party contractor in a steel mill environment that is hot, dirty, loud, dusty, and oily. Be prepared for this challenging work environment. Standard work weeks are 40 hours with normal shifts starting at 6:30 am. Overtime may require earlier or extended hours. PPE is mandatory, including steel toe boots, eye protection, hard hats, double hearing protection, and fire-resistant coveralls. Our team is expanding, and we aim to start 3-4 new employees each week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
