JSI invites you to join our team as an Events Manager on our Marketing team in our Greenbelt Maryland or near one of our offices (Charlotte, Austin, Minneapolis, Orlando, Lubbock, Nephi UT) where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusion—while advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.

Position Overview:

As an Events Manager,  you will be responsible for managing event planning, budgeting, and logistics from concept through execution. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, HR, and Executive Leadership to ensure a cohesive event experience that aligns with brand and business goals. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is ready to take ownership of impactful events.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and execute a portfolio of corporate events, trade shows, client meetings, and internal seminars.
  • Develop event strategies and timelines that support business priorities and brand positioning.
  • Ensure events generate measurable value through lead capture, brand visibility, attendee feedback, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor negotiations, speaker coordination, and A/V support.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with internal stakeholders to align messaging and objectives.
  • Create and manage event budgets, timelines, and post-event analysis.
  • Oversee event marketing materials, signage, and attendee communications.
  • Ensure flawless event execution and professionalism in all client-facing activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors and partners.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate event planning, trade shows, or conference management.
  • Demonstrated success managing end-to-end logistics for medium to large-scale events.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Budget management and vendor negotiation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management or event planning platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Cvent, Eventbrite).
  • Ability to travel domestically for events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in telecom, broadband, or professional services/consulting industry.
  • CMP or equivalent event planning certification.
  • Familiarity with hybrid and virtual event formats.
