Description Summary: The Director Communications is responsible for managing and enhancing the image and brand of CHRISTUS Health through planning, developing, implementing and managing strategic communications for the system and the dissemination of all system-level communications, through a variety of media and outlets, across all CHRISTUS offices, services and regions, domestically and internationally. Working closely with the Senior Vice President, while maintaining oversight for the responsibilities of the system Communications Specialist position, the Director develops and implements internal and external messaging targeted to key internal and external stakeholders of the health system, including the Congregations, leadership teams, Associates, physicians, volunteers, regional and system governance, regional and national news media and the general public. In support of the system strategy, the Director provides leadership, consultation services, direction, and hands-on assistance in the areas of public and media relations, strategic and crisis communication, community relations, issue planning and response, planning and coordination of system meetings and events, and overall brand strategy for CHRISTUS Health leadership. The Director works daily to enhance the image and brand of CHRISTUS Health, raise awareness and inform a broad and influential audience about the health system, its hospitals, physicians and Associates, progress in key areas of focus. The Director also works closely with system departments (HR, quality, advocacy, strategic planning, etc.) to help plan and implement communications internal and external strategies for their particular projects and services. In addition, the Director serves as the primary news media contact for CHRISTUS Health, coordinating interviews and developing responses to news media inquiries, serving as communications "consultant" for all CHRISTUS regions (in particular, providing hands-on assistance with crisis or issue communications), publishing and disseminating news of significant impact to CHRISTUS, responding to requests for such assistance from system senior leadership, regional CEOs and local administrators and the local PR staffs. The Director also develops and implements a proactive news media and social media strategy to strategically place messages and information to enhance CHRISTUS' image, culture and brand. Responsibilities: Direct and lead efforts to plan, implement and manage strategic communications for the system to build the CHRISTUS Health brand and image Provide vision, leadership, direction, management services, and consultation services through many integral functions Plan and implement the production of all strategic internal and external system communications to convey real-time news and information to CHRISTUS Health's key internal and external constituencies, ensuring the timeliness and technical accuracy of content Develop, direct and produce system publications to various stakeholders and audiences, both internal and external, managing production schedule and budget, if applicable These include, but are not limited to: System newsletters, System-level news releases, Annual report, Strategy playbook, Internet content, Intranet content Other communication as needed to physicians, regional leadership, all Associates, volunteers, etc. Capturing and editing photography and video of key leaders and important events Utilize not only superior writing skills, but also HTML coding, photo editing, video creation and editing skills and software to create and post meaningful content in relevant internal and external publications Plan, develop and implement system social media strategy and promotions, directing the use of social media tools as part of overall CHRISTUS positioning and branding Serve as a consultant" to various regions and internal stakeholders, assisting them in developing and implementing appropriate regional presences and strategies Ensure Associate and leadership education about these tools is updated and complete Requirements: Master's Degree Work Schedule: 5 Days - 8 Hours Work Type: Full Time
