At LiveKit, we're seeking a Developer Advocate - a crucial role that sits at the intersection of engineering and community engagement. This position is for someone who finds fulfillment in empowering developers, facilitating their success, and serving as the vital link between our technology and its users. While many engineers focus on building complex systems, we're looking for someone passionate about building developer understanding and adoption.
As a Developer Advocate at LiveKit, you'll have a direct impact on our product direction and community growth. If you feel a sense of accomplishment when you see developers successfully integrate LiveKit, knowing you played a part in making it happen, this role is perfect for you.
Foster and grow our developer community through active engagement in forums, social media, and events.
Create and curate high-quality technical content including blog posts, tutorials, documentation, and sample applications.
Represent the developer voice within LiveKit, providing crucial feedback to our product and engineering teams.
Assist developers in understanding, implementing, and troubleshooting LiveKit, ensuring a positive experience with our platform.
Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and demos to showcase LiveKit's capabilities and best practices.
Collaborate with marketing and partnerships teams to expand our reach and influence in the developer ecosystem.
You are an engineer.
You don’t mind reading more code than you write.
You're comfortable with code across various languages and can quickly grasp new technologies.
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You find satisfaction in educating others and seeing them succeed with our technology.
Previous experience in developer advocacy or developer relations.
Contributions to open-source projects.
Familiarity with real-time communication technologies or experience building with LiveKit.
Public speaking experience at tech conferences or meetups.
