About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Risk Officer with a focus on Compliance and Fraud. This role, while a second line function, is open to candidates with a strong subject matter expert background from the first line of compliance. The successful candidate will be the go-to expert for all consumer and commercial compliance matters, including AML/BSA, and will have risk oversight in these areas. Strong technical knowledge is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and line of business partners. The role also involves supporting internal and external audits, as well as regulatory exams. Candidates for this position should have a background in a first or second line compliance function within a bank or credit union, with a preference for those who have held management or leadership responsibilities. Ideally, candidates will have over 10 years' of experience in the field, a Bachelor's degree, and a CAMS or CRCM certification, which is highly desirable. The Deputy Chief Risk Officer will be a key player in the company's risk management strategy, ensuring that all compliance and fraud-related issues are effectively addressed and that the organization remains in line with regulatory requirements.
