Time Type:Full timeRemote Type:Job Family Group:Market OperationsJob Description Summary: Position Summary:The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of Breakthru Maryland's warehouse and office buildings.***Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm***$20.00/hourJob Description:Job Responsibilities:Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse and office space.Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums the floorsEmpties trash and garbage containers.Sanitizes and disinfectsEnsure bathrooms are clean and filled with paper products and soapNotifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to plumbing, lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.Collects excess cardboard and uses bailer to bundle and prepare for recyclingAssists in moving furniture, file cabinets, etc. when necessary.Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma and/or equivalentNo prior experience requiredAbility to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlinesUtilize sound judgement and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience maintaining cleanliness and order for a large businessKnowledge of chemicals and suppliesAbility to handle heavy equipmentPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required toStand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Lift up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities are required which include, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Talk, hear, and use hands and fingers.Competencies:Accountable for meeting own targets, work is reviewed periodically.Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with a solution readily available.This job description is only a summary of the typical functions of this position, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks and duties.
