Summary:

A Culinary Arts Intern is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction by building a reputation of Ultimate Service. He/She will perform all duties required by the department manager to the best of their ability.

Key Responsibilities:

• When a guest enters the area or department, the first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
• Follow the daily work schedule as assigned by management
• Practice safe work habits; maintain a high level of store cleanliness, organization, and a safe work environment
• Stock, rotate and face products, prevent shrink, product damage and follow code dating procedures
• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are performed

General Key Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
• Ability to lift to a height of 4 feet, carry items weighing up 50 lbs. and push and pull up to 100 lbs
• Ability to work for periods of up to 8-10 hours in 50 degree temperatures
• Must be flexible to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing and walking
• Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
• Ability to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers

Floral Clerk Key Requirements:

• Working knowledge of plants and flowers
• Utilize floral systems and processes consistently and correctly

Market Clerk Key Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to be exposed to 30F while handling products in the display cases
• Ability to open and set up the butcher block case and close and pull down the butcher block case according to company procedures
• Must be able to operate related equipment including: scales, knives, band saws, meat tenderizers, meat slicers, grinders, and keep accurate records

Bakery Clerk Key Requirements:

• Ensure packing guidelines are followed
• Accurately write and follow detailed instructions on special orders to ensure the product meets or exceeds the guest's expectations
• Demo and sell products as time permits or as instructed by management
• Assist in break-out and dishwashing as needed

Food Service Clerk Key Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Perform deli duties such as restocking supplies, wrapping, and clean-up
• Ability to safely operate job related equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, food processors, and other commercial kitchen equipment
