Job Description

Position Summary: Arizona Bleeding Disorders (AZBD) is seeking a Community Outreach & Fundraising Events Coordinator to help us in our mission to improve the wellbeing of the bleeding disorder community across Arizona. This full-time position will work in close contact with our community members and AZBD staff to provide vital social services, foster community engagement, and assist in office matters such as bookkeeping, office management, and conferences. This position will also coordinate and lead our fundraising events which include the annual Hemophilia Zoo Walk, Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament and Salsa Challenge. The position will be an in-office position located at the AZBD in downtown Phoenix.

Responsibilities

Community Outreach:

• Work closely with the community members and their needs
• Assist with recruiting the community members to participate in AZBD events
• Be a staff liaison at AZBD sponsored community events 

Case Management:

• Collaborate with Member Services and Operations Manager to assist the community members and their families in accessing available resources by serving as liaison and/or advocate for the patient and family This may include services such as, but not limited to; daycare, employment, educational services, counseling, waivers, and assistance with the various needs of daily living (e.g. food, clothing, utilities, transportation, rent, etc.), and other hemophilia-related assistance funding
• Work with Member Services and Operations Manager to assist the members in completing any related CCS, Medicaid, Medicare, disability, social security applications
• Work with Member Services and Operations Manager to assist in AZBD’s Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) Program including intake calls, processing applications, and working with ED to approve funding

Fundraising Events:

• Responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and evaluation of all fundraising programs and events.
• Work directly with the Executive Director on all fundraising programs and events budgets and post event profit and loss statements.
• Prepare post event analysis and report on achievement of success metrics and finalize project budget. 
• Works to secure partnerships/sponsorships for fundraising events to ensure all revenue, both previous and new, is secured, and the program/event is successful.
• In collaboration with the full events team, handle fundraising events (Zoo Walk, Pickleball Tournament, & Salsa Challenge) to ensure all revenue, both previous and new is secured, and the event is successful.
• Create, manage, and update fundraising websites (i.e. QGiv, Bloomerang, etc.) for AZBD Events. (Event specific)
• Promote AZBD events to AZBD sponsors and prospects.
