About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Chief Development Officer (CDO) to spearhead our development initiatives and drive our vision for sustainable community justice transformation. In this critical role, you will create and implement a comprehensive development strategy focused on expanding our projects across South Asia and into new regions.

As the CDO, you will serve as the chief spokesperson for the organization, lead our development team, and ensure we achieve a balance between impactful programming and business sustainability. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the executive team and Board of Directors on strategic and annual planning.
  • Building and managing a strong foundation and grants strategy.
  • Overseeing the major donor team, enhancing the long-term giving experience.
  • Mentoring and developing the skills of the development team.
  • Working in partnership with the communications team for effective messaging.
  • Cultivating and managing relationships with major donors and foundations.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven background in development, expertise in maintaining revenue pipelines, and excellent interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders. A passion for our mission, strategic thinking, and fiscal accountability are essential for success in this role.
