Cabinet Finisher - Painting and Finishing

We are seeking an experienced  Cabinet Finisher to join our team, specializing in staining, sealing, spray painting, and other fine finishing techniques. The successful candidate will ensure that each piece of cabinetry is finished to perfection, contributing to the exceptional quality and luxury that Benchmark Custom Cabinets is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Staining and Sealing: Apply stains to wood surfaces according to design specifications. Seal finished surfaces to provide protection against moisture and wear, enhancing durability and longevity.
• Sanding and Smoothing: Prepare wood surfaces by sanding them to ensure smooth, even surfaces that are ready for the finishing process.
• Spray Painting: Operate spray-painting equipment to apply paint or lacquer, ensuring even coverage and a professional-grade finish.
• Quality Inspection: Examine finished cabinets for quality and alignment with design specifications, identifying and resolving any imperfections or defects.
• Detailing and Touch-ups: Perform detailed touch-ups to correct minor imperfections, ensuring color consistency and finish uniformity across all pieces.
• Masking and Taping: Protect areas not designated for finishing by carefully taping and masking, ensuring precise application of stains and finishes.
• Material Handling: Transport finished and semi-finished products within the workshop, coordinating with other departments to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain all finishing equipment, ensuring a clean, organized workspace.
• Color Matching: Mix and match colors to achieve the desired finish, maintaining records of color formulations for future reference.
• Communication: Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure consistency in the finishing process. Report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety guidelines when working with finishing materials and equipment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of finished products, finishing materials used, and any issues encountered during the process.
