Assistant Division Controller (Construction REQUIRED)

Salary: $115K - $125K

Location: Galveston or Houston (Galleria area) with occasional travel to Galveston

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup and management of project financial tracking, including AP, AR, and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to company financial policies, including revenue recognition and payables processing.
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate data repositories.
• Ensure operational data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and maintain processes that align with company standards and operational needs.
• Review monthly financial data to verify completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit monthly billing requests for project owners as required.
• Regularly update and manage project cash flow forecasts.
• Understand and manage job overhead costs to maintain profitability.
• Analyze project profitability, revenue, budgets, and margins.
• Follow up on unpaid invoices with clients as necessary.
• Occasional travel to project sites will be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction accounting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in managing financial reporting and analysis.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform other physical tasks as needed.
• Strong mathematical and quantitative skills.
